Do you know how hard it is to live in a house that you don't live in?

I bet that title grabbed you!

When Bruce and I got back into our home, we realized that we now had some time to properly back up important possessions that we would not want renters to be going through while they are renting our home.  We were in such a hurry last May that we just threw things wherever!

I have brought everything that we packed up into the house from the garage and have gone through most of it.  Going through my mind constantly was the thought .... if I never needed any of this stuff in the months that we were gone, why do I need it now?

Bags of stuff are ready to be donated and piles have really dwindled down.  I have a much better handle on possessions plus I had the time to make a proper list of what is where for future reference.

So once again, every dresser drawer in our house is empty.  Every drawer in our living room cupboard is empty.  All the drawers and cupboards in the breakfast nook are empty.  The only thing left is what I leave for our tenants to use ... pots and pans, dishes, silverware, linens, sheets and towels.  Locked up are important papers, record albums, photograph albums and special treasures.

It looks like there is a good possibility of having a renter again for 2015.  This time we are ready.  We are happy to have the house occupied and the extra money comes in handy for diesel.

Do you know how hard it is to live in a house that you don't live in?!
