"One Day at a Time, 2015" ....Surprise on us!!

(Thursday, June 25th)
Bruce’s sister Joyce and hubby Dan drove up from North
Carolina to visit friends and family.
They came to Southwoods so they could see our home. We enjoyed burgers, chatting, and swatting
flies with the “electric” fly swatter they brought us. It really zaps the bugs!!
We were invited to Neal and Bev’s for dinner with Cheri and
Andrew joining us. I walked into the
kitchen and saw the beautiful roses on the table, the 50th napkins
on the plate, and the mobile hanging from the lamp, and realized that they had
pulled off a surprise (early) 50th Anniversary party. Our anniversary is in August (14th)
but we will most likely still be in Canada, and they didn’t want us to miss out
on a celebration.
We had a delicious steak dinner accompanied by fresh fruit,
Wilted Spinach salad with Pecans, German Potato Salad, rolls, and yummy cake
and gelato for dessert.
