Graduation Day

We planned the Statesville visit around an important event for our great-niece Megan - her high school graduation.  Several bonus reasons for coming here were to get reacquainted with Tammy's other kids - Matthew (who rescued me when I needed someone to drive me to the vet) and Molly (who helped Bruce wash the RV, not a small task) as well as meet the most important person in our nephew Bret's life, Jim.   They flew in on a redeye to attend the graduation ceremony.

Proud parents

Proud grandparents

Proud uncles
The whole gang who came to whoop it up as Megan crossed the stage

Sitting around the kitchen table is the best place to be!  So many memories are created and rehashed.  With families scattered hither and yon, these times together become so very special.  More of the same will be taking place in Virginia Beach.  I think we even have a grudge match of Cranium scheduled since we last played in Lake Tahoe at one of our first reunions.

Oh!  How could I forget cards with some of our favorite euchre players - Bruce's sister Joyce and her husband Dan. Now that's what is meant by fun!!!  The hair has grayed, and the choice of beverages has changed from booze to water, but the fun is just the same!!!
