"One Day at a Time, 2015" ..... early May .....

“One Day at a Time, 2015” ….. Early May …..

We settled into a semi-routine.  Bruce occasionally worked for Neal, we went grocery shopping, I did laundry, Zoey got groomed, and we got the electronic door on the RV fixed at Camping World.  Unfortunately for us, another problem had developed that we mentioned to them and they attempted to fix it that same day.  Our awning over the large slide would not retract; they discovered it was the motor and since the RV is still under warranty, they were able to send for a new motor for us.  Because it was late in the day, they totally removed the awning from the RV and back we went to our parking spot at the campground.  OH NO!  The slides would not go out; none of them!!  We tried to call them back but everyone had left for the day.

There we were, in our very expensive motor home, stuck in a single-wide situation.  Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s okay to spend the night at WalMart without putting the slides out, but somehow this was NOT okay.  We had  not prepared for it so some of the items that we needed for dinner and the evening itself were contained by slides in.  Not a fun night.  The next day the “traveling” Camping World representative came and fixed the issue.  Apparently a little fuse was the target.  Who knew the fuse to control the awnings would also shut down all four slides!?

We attended a 50th anniversary party for our friends Danny and Carol.  Looking at their memory boards of pictures and memorabilia was especially fun.

We had cocktails with some of our neighbors (from Webster, NY) who sold everything and RV full time.

It’s a small world … in the course of the evening, we discovered that she and I had both been very good friends with the Huff’s on Straub Rd. in Greece as we were growing up AND at the present time, a friend from our class is dating their best man from their wedding 50 years ago.

Joyce and me many, many years ago playing Oujai.
