"One Day at a Time, 2015" ......Canada ..... (July 16th - August 19th) ..... July 20

"One Day at a Time ..... Canada ..... July 16th - August 19th, 2015

July 20th – Day 5

This is our last day/night at Camping Transit.  When I looked out the RV window this morning, who should I see pulling into the campsite across from us but Eugene and Linda from Alberta, Canada and their little R-Pod.  We were shocked; what are the odds that we would run into someone we met who was parked next to us in Byron, New York!!  They had made plans to go to Quebec for the day and we were going to take a ride and see the “lay of the land” near Trois Revières, which is French for three rivers.  We had no agenda; we just wanted to drive and see the countryside. Stopped at a roadside stand for fresh vegetables, saw a two-passenger trike, saw a plethora of churches, and got lost a couple of times (par for the course).  All-in-all, a glorious day.

We also hadn’t had dinner and decided to try poutine.  Ruk’s folks run the restaurant at the CG and he had told me to be sure and try his mom’s version of the recipe.  French fires, brown gravy and cheese curds on top – not very healthy, but it was tasty.  Glad I didn’t get a large order to share!!

When we got back to the CG, we started our preparations for the move the next day.  Unfortunately we got back so late that we didn’t get a chance to talk with Eugene and Linda again but I did get a picture of them this time.  If (when) we go to Alberta, we are invited for dinner!!
