"One
Day at a Time, 2015” ..... Canada ..... (July 16th - August 19th)

August 11 – Day 27 - Continuing our adventures in PEI
Today we
ventured into Charlottetown. Bruce had wanted to go down to the
wharf. We were able to follow the map
quite well this time; no turning around!
Charlottetown is the capital city of PEI and the birthplace
of Canada. Peakes Wharf Historic Waterfront is where
the fathers of confederation landed in 1864, and was bustling; a crew ship had
docked, tourists were gawking, folks were eating, a native group - Mi 'kmaq - was
participating in their dancing ritual – what fun! We stopped in the Visitor Centre, and we also
took a walk so that I could take some pictures of the old town and the Convention Centre.

This was a large bank vault inside the center. We didn't go in; not sure where it went.

This "2015" was on the front lawn along with the lobster and seal. We assumed that there was some sort of celebration taking place. It may have been for the Old Home Week.

She was just precious!
As requested by the tribe, I turned off the camera before they started their dance.
