"One Day at a Time, 2015” ….. Gordonsville, Virginia …..(November 6 - November 9) ..... Finally reunited!!
November 8 and 9 - Finally getting to visit with good friends from our past!
The only reason we stopped in Virginia was to visit with our friends Tom and Sharon. We had missed seeing them last year on our trip; we left Virginia Beach and headed east over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel and up into the eastern section on Virginia. It just worked out that way. We were determined to see them this year.
And we did! We drove about an hour to Dumfries, VA to visit them in their 55+ community on Sunday and they drove about an hour to see our "home on wheels" on Monday. A bonus on Sunday was getting to see their daughter Jeri and her husband Lloyd, too. Jeri had been good friends with our daughters Shelly and Julie.
It was just wonderful to see them. We share the same Wedding Anniversary (August 14th) and have been married the same number of years (50). we had so much to talk about ... time just flew.
Thank you for your hospitality - and I hope we can see you out west sooner than later.
I'm afraid it's a little blurry.
I then got silly and just snapped a bunch! We all had commented on how little we like to have our picture taken. Sorry you guys - couldn't resist posting them all!
