Walking the Boardwalk

Bruce and I were both eager to see Myrtle Beach and walk the Boardwalk so Saturday we drove down to the 14th Avenue Pier, parked, and started walking.

These pictures were taken as we drove down North Ocean Boulevard.  I tried to take pictures of some of the beautiful homes.  Then we came upon the hotels and condo's.

Here are the hotels and condos.  And if you are going to MB, this is a great link.

Skywheel

We were going to eat here at nighttime, but there is 100% difference in day and night at Myrtle Beach.  A local walking by (while we were waiting for friends) advised us not to be here at nighttime.  He said it wasn't too safe.  Now that's interesting!!

Looks like I missed my chance to ride a camel!!

I read somewhere that Myrtle Beach has the most miniature golf parks anywhere, and I believe it.  I tried to get pictures everywhere we drove but my pictures don't do them justice.  This one was on the way back to where we parked our car.

The Tiki Bar
Didn't go in; just took a picture.

Love the "Hot Beer; Lousy Food; Bad Service"

Saturday evening - the Auction and Silent Auction won out over the Christmas Tree Lighting.

I decided to attend the Auction (and Silent Auction) held down at the clubhouse instead of the Christmas tree lighting.  Glad I did; look what I was able to purchase for $40.00 each.  Camping World donated them, and they are worth over $125.00 each.  We have been talking for months about getting recliner outside chairs; now we are ready for the Florida beaches!!!  I think they match our rug, but it's been so long since I saw the rug, I can't remember!

Faulkner Reclining Chairs

And look at what moved in across from our site - a Prevost!!!   Another link.

Prevost are the extreme in RVing.  They cost upwards of a million dollars.  I sure do wish I would have been invited indoors!!

And here are some pictures of the Skywheel at nighttime.
