 "One Day at a Time, 2015” ….. North Carolina …..(November 25 - 29 ) ..... Hendersonville, North Carolina

November 26 - Thanksgiving Day

We have so much to be thankful for - our health, our ability to get along together after 50 years, our mutual love of traveling, our "apartment" on wheels, our families, our friends, our furbaby.  The list could go on and on.

We thought we might be eating out at a Cracker Barrel today, but our friend Bev and her sister Jill invited us to dinner.  Jill and her family live nearby in the town of Saluda.  Oh, my, it was a good one!!  How quickly the afternoon and evening sped by; good food, good conversations and good company make that happen.

I forgot to take a picture of the turkey dinner, but I imagine you know exactly what it looked like because yours looked the same.

Jill's husband of 25+ years built their log home over the space of 17 years.  It is a beautiful home and he should be extremely proud of himself.  I remembered to snap a couple of pictures before we left.

I am so glad we got to see each other once again!  Oh, the fun we had together as teenagers!!

I was trying to show you the detail of inside the house and the placement of the logs.  Not your traditional round log home.

The rock from the fireplace came from Tennessee

Look at the size of this beam!!

He even made the stairs and banisters.
