"One Day at a Time, 2015” ….. Wakarusa, Indiana …..(October 25 – October 30) …..Travel Day - Thor Service Center
October 25 - 222 Google Travel Miles - Travel Day and arrival at Thor Service Center
We started out by getting on the Ohio Turnpike again and then Bruce asked me to look for a diesel stop for him. When we got off - just a ways down the road and $5.25 shorter - I said, "This is ridiculous! We are retired, and we are not in any hurry. I refuse to pay for a toll road; let's take a "secondary-type" road." I'm not too sure he was totally happy about that, but he "gave in" and we maneuvered our way from Fremont, Ohio to Wakarusa on "secondary-type" roads - that I thought turned out to be quite nice. It was enjoyable to go through some small towns, and personally, I like traveling around 55 - 60 mph. Bruce found it slow.
When we arrived, we were motor coach #7 to be here. See, friends & family, it's not just us that has bad luck! There were several Thor Challengers, a Thor Palazzo, several Thor Tuscany XTE's and two (including us) Thor Tuscany's.
They provided electricity and water to each coach and we all settled in for the night.
Our instructions had been mailed ahead of time so we knew that our service technician would be knocking on our door around 7 a.m. to get started - and that's exactly when Mark showed up.
We went over our list with him, added a couple of more things, and we headed into the Lounge that they provide. There we met our fellow Thor-ians: Jerry and Carol from Idaho, Forrest and Dot from Pennsylvania, Daryl from Illinois, Gene and Sharon from Michigan, Rob and Cindy from Texas, Roger and Charlotte from Texas, Jim and Grace (and their friend Margery) from Maine, and Jim and Kim from New Jersey.
We all exchanged stories about why we were here, and it didn't take long to make new friends!

| That's where we sit and wait .... and wait ..... and wait. But that's okay: first, it got our problems taken care of and second, see that table? That's where I caught up on the blog!! |
