At first Bruce was going to take the rig for a test drive but he said, "let's just go and if we have problems, we'll turn around and come back." That suited me fine. It was time to roll!
After the astronomical bills that we have had these past couple of months, I was desperate to find us a "free" campground ... and I did! And once we got there and discovered how nice it was, we asked and got permission to stay for an entire month. It ended up costing us $112 for a month -- paid extra for 50 amps instead of 30 and cable TV.
And then Hurricane Joaquin threatened! We had rain for one entire day and night -- steady. And when we woke up in the morning, the creek behind us had turned into a monster. I was ready to pack up and leave but we waited and listened to the forecast and were able to stay after it decided to go out over sea.
We enjoyed watching TV -- the news for Bruce, football for both of us, PBS for Bruce. I worked on the blog a lot.
