September 12 – Mystic Eats

I was ecstatic when I saw that banner over Main Street in Mystic the day we arrived.  Without even knowing it, we lucked into a "something!"  We always seem to miss the "Somethings" when we arrive; they were just last week or they are going to be held next weekend.  But we were spot on this time!

So - Mystic Eats --

You purchase as many $1.00 tickets as you want (we started with $20.00).  Then you check out each booth to see what they are selling and how much it costs.  Then you go back and make your purchase.  Most items were under $6.00 and they were the fancier ones (prime rib bites on specialty bread).  Del's Lemonade was there and even though it's another one of those "foods" specific to an area, I'm just not into Lemonade.  Here's the link to the program if you want to see who was involved.

I had some clam chowder to start and Bruce had a crab cake.  Then he had a steak sandwich  and I had an ice cream sundae in a waffle cone.  Yup, that's what I had for lunch!

We took in the entertainment, too.  

It was a fun day!  So glad we were "in the right place at the right time."

We also got to view the bridge going up and down while we were there.
