"One Day at a Time, 2015” ….. Plymouth, Massachusetts
….. (August 28 – September 8) …..August 29, 30, 31
August 29 – Laying low
We are worried about our fur baby and didn’t feel like doing
too much today. We did take a walk
around the CG. As its name suggests, it
is nestled among white pines and sits on a small lake. Most of the sites are private; you aren’t
stacked in a row on top of each other. The
lodge is made of logs, has a small café an bar, and a big dance hall. It is near a shooting range because we
occasionally hear gunshots; not annoying, just there.

We enjoyed watching this "big kid" play with his boat.

August 30 – Costco
run; Pick up Zoey
We really needed groceries and there was a Costco not too
far from the hospital. They called late
in the afternoon to come and pick Zoey up, so we went for food first and then
got her.
This diagnosis was the same – (1.) Pancreatitis; (2.) Historical
Hypertension; (3.) Historical heart murmur (4.)
Discomfort, restlessness – rule out abdominal pain vs. neck pain vs.
other. She was released with a multitude
of drugs – Mirtazapine, Famotidine, Codeine, Rimadyl, Gabapentin, Ursodiol,
Znetonil, Metronidazole and Amlodipine.
Some we were to just finish up the bottle, two (Ursodiol and Amlodipine)
she will be on for life (and they are human drugs!). We were advised to limit her exercise at home
(she’s not been interested in walking for a couple of years now); not use a
collar but a harness (she has both), limit stairs (we have to pick her up to
get in and out of RV) and no jumping on or off of furniture (we have steps
rigged up to “her” couch). She was
willing to give us prescriptions (Yeah!!!) and after paying another enormous
amount of money, she was released. She
was happy to see us! And we were happy
to have her back!!

August 31 – Laying low
again
Today I worked on paying my bills, updating my spreadsheets, budgeting, converting my videos so they would play from U-Tube and going through pictures and deleting from my camera (almost out of storage space!!).
