August 22 - Saturday - Acadia National Park; Bar Harbor
So our day to tour on a trolley and of course, it started
out foggy. We were pretty sure that by
the time we got to Cadillac Mountain, the fog would be burned off.
We were fortunate that our campground had a shuttle that
took us to another shuttle that took us downtown to catch our trolley. This way Bruce didn’t have to drive into the
town. Needless to say, August in BarHarbor and Acadia National Park equals thousands of tourists!!
We arrived at the Olie's Trolley depot and waited for our ride. I snapped a few pictures and even caught some folks on their expensive yacht. I wanted to wave at them but for some reason, I didn't think that they would wave back!
Our tour guide for the day. He was very, very good. And funny. I just missed a good joke when I started this video.
I'd like to tell you that the fog cleared and we had a great day to take pictures. But, alas, it did not. I took a few, but if you really want to see the beauty, go to the web sites I've linked to or better yet, go in person!!

We could have gotten on and off the trolley at various stops, but between the lousy weather and the fact that Zoey was alone in the RV, we decided it was time to leave. If we wanted to come back another day, we could drive ourselves. I will admit that both Bruce and I are rather bummed out by the commercialization and the amount of tourists. Oh, I think I've mentioned that, haven't I? I did stop at this store and found some organic calming treats for Zoey to try and keep her blood pressure down.
