"One Day at a Time, 2015” ….. Milan, Ohio …..(October 22 – October 25) …..Milan Travel Park
October 2 - 183 Google Miles - Travel Day
We did not have a good start! Bruce wears glasses for up close reading and insists on keeping them in his tee-shirt pocket. He is forever losing them; they drop out when he bends over. He purchased a gizmo from Amazon Prime that contains magnets; part of it affixes to the inside of his shirt and the other part to the inside of the pocket. The arm of the glasses fits into this gizmo, and you don't lose your glasses. BUT, Bruce stopped using the gizmo. And he lost his glasses. And he didn't notice it until we had left the site and driven to the main road that we needed to be on. I guess the good thing is that he realized he had lost them before we got on the interstate!
So we turned around, went back to the CG, back down the hill to our campsite, and we both walked around looking for them. If he had lost them in New York at that CG, we never would have found them; there were so many leaves you couldn't find anything. But he eventually found them and we retraced our steps to get out.
That wasn't easy, either. As we were heading up the steep hill, we could hear the tires spinning and spinning. Bruce had to back up several times until he could get on the grass/stones and get a good start.
We got to Milan, Ohio without any problems other than dumping $19. plus change into the Ohio turnpike coffers. I am going to look into a different route for our next leg of the trip. I don't like paying tolls for bad roads. We got our spot, picked up some literature, and settled in for the night.

| All this time I've been trying to find a panorama of good trees. Where do I find it? In the RV park! |
Since we had saved up the rest of our Gigs until the end of our billing period, we now had about 2.something to use up before midnight tonight. So we decided to stream one through Netflix. I went on and looked and looked and was ready to give up finding anything to rent when I saw "The Butler." We had not seen it, and it looked good. So we rented that movie, sat back (me with my blankets on), and enjoyed the show.
That is until we both got a ring on our phones. Uh Oh! We had programmed the phones to let us know when we were approaching our limit. Unfortunately the rings were to tell us that we had just gone over our limit!!! I picked a movie that was too long; I didn't realize it at the time. Read the reviews afterwards and everyone said it was too long. I should have read them beforehand.
So we spent from September 11th being real careful about using our gigs until the 22nd, and then blow it by watching the movie. It ended up to be an expensive one - $15.00 for one gig!!!
